Rum Balls

Ingredients

  1. 3 c. finely crushed vanilla wafers
  2. 1 c. finely chopped nuts (any kind)
  3. 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar, separated
  4. 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate
  5. 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  6. 1/3 c. rum

Directions

  1. Combine crushed wafers, nuts and 1/2 cup powdered sugar in large bowl; set aside.
  2. Melt chocolate with corn syrup.
  3. Stir in rum until smooth.
  4. Pour chocolate mixture over crumb mixture; mix thoroughly.
  5. Roll into 1-inch balls.
  6. Place on wax paper.
  7. Roll each ball in remaining 1 cup powdered sugar.
  8. Store in airtight container for at least 3 days before serving.
